Top Cartoonist / Illustrator Blindfolded
Faces in the Dark
The Saturday Mirror Jan 27 1951
This select group of Manila top cartoonist is a lively bunch of regular fellows who meet often to rib one another on their foibles style of drawing, and size of audience following. With the natural vanity of the creative artist, almost everyone thinks he is the best of the lot. All the fun and to provide a novel stunt at a social gathering, these lively fellows set about to determine how well each of them can draw his own cartoon character with his eyes shut. After establishing how fast they can draw their characters with their eyes open, they each put on a blindfold (photo at left ) and drew face in the dark as it were. Although the results established no outstanding ability for accuracy, arousing time was had by all.
